The 2018 Tres Ojos Garnacha opens with lots of ripe, tart, dark berry aromas along with pleasing floral notes, some almost garrigue like herbal touches and a little leather.
Taking a sip reveals a smooth, tart, fleshy and juicy unoaked Garnacha. Featuring similar flavors to the nose with a little spice as well, this is loaded with character and deep fruit flavors from the old vine fruit.
It ends with a dry, very long and lasting finish of juicy fruit. This is a whole lot of flavor for just $8! The whole thing was just as good on day 2.
