From the bottle:

Vento di Mare Nerello Mascalese is produced from organic grapes grown in picturesque vineyards located on the sunny island of Sicily. Deep, dark in color, this wine delights with aromas of plum and blackberry with a balanced and spicy finish.

Produced and Bottled by Cantine Ermes
13.5% Alcohol

The 2019 Vento di Mare Nerello Mascalese Terre Siciliane IGP opens with a very bright and pleasing fresh berry and sour cherry aroma with touches of leather, balsamic and eucalyptus.

The medium-bodied wine tastes smooth and easy to drink and features similar flavors to the nose. It’s a bit one dimensional with the focus on the sour, juicy fruit but it’s still quite good, especially for the price.

It ends with a dry, medium-long finish.
