Dark ruby color with a garnet edge. Opening with a complex nose of sandalwood, cassis, black cherry and dark chocolate. On the palate it is rich and mouth-coating with a long finish of concentrated fruit, black tea, leather, licorice and spice box. The texture is broad and even, finishing with a fine tannin structure.

The 2020 Caretaker Paso Robles Cabernet Sauvignon opens with a pleasing aroma of cherry, black cherry, spice and a little leather.
Tasting reveals a smooth, easy drinking Cab. It is a bit thin perhaps but still hard not to like and not sweet like a lot of wines in this price range. It's worth the 10 bucks.
