The 2011 Emiliana Natura Merlot begins with aromas of plum, cranberry, sweet blackberry and canned beets (really it brought back memories). The medium-bodied wine tastes smooth, soft and easy to drink. While not overly complex, it’s quite nice with its mix of blackberry, plum and a little spice. It ends with tart fruit on the surprisingly long finish.
