“Family Owned. Artisan Quality. The grapes for our Syrah are Jackson Estates Grown, coming from vineyards located on hillsides and ridges along the cool Santa Barbara coast. Aged in a combination of small French and American oak barrels, this wine has a lovely oak spice accent with dominant flavors of pomegranate and black currant.
13.5% Alcohol”
The 2011 Kendall-Jackson Vintner’s Reserve Syrah begins with a wonderful smoky, leathery, blackberry aroma filled with nice touches of spice and cola. The wine tastes super smooth with blackberry, plum and black cherry fruit along with tasty streaks of smoked meat, cola, licorice and black pepper. Full-bodied and balanced, it ends dry and somewhat tannic with more juicy dark fruit plus dark chocolate and toasty oak on the long finish. An excellent Syrah at a fantastic price.
