    Rockus Bockus - Label Love

By: Jon Thorsen Published: June 9, 2014 Last Updated: December 10, 2016

    2010-Rockus-Bockus
And the wine is pretty good too.

46% Cabernet Sauvignon, 28% Zinfandel, 19% Merlot, 4% Cabernet Franc and 3% Syrah from Sonoma County, California.

SRP of $15 and available for as low as $13. 2,650 cases produced. Sample submitted for review. From Gundlach Bundschu, the winery behind the Bulk Buy rated Gundlach Bundschu Mountain Cuvée and the Swami Pinot Noir.

    From the bottle:

    "Hometown: Sonoma County

    Genre: Bold, Juicy

Influences: Coastal Fog, Volcanic Mountains, Steak

    14.5% Alcohol"

The 2010 Rockus Bockus begins with pleasant aromas of blackberry, cranberry and spice. Tasting reveals lots of wonderful spice plus juicy blackberry and plum. A bit oaky when first popped, give it some air and it develops nicely. It ends dry and long with soft and slightly chewy tannins. This is one tasty blend!
