From the bottle:

“Embraced by two oceans, the Indian and Southern, the Margaret River wine region enjoys a temperate, maritime climate providing wonderful conditions for the growing of distinctive Cabernet Sauvignon. Margaret River has an enviable reputation for the wines of this renowned variety.

Ringbolt Cabernet Sauvignon is made from grapes which were harvested from low yielding Cabernet Sauvignon vineyards in the ‘dress circle’ Wilyabrup region of Margaret River. This is a wine which can be enjoyed now or will age gracefully in the medium term.

Vegetarian and Vegan Friendly

14.1% Alcohol”

We’re now six wines into our Warming Winter Reds series and the wines just keep getting better. So far we’ve traveled to Spain, Italy, Australia, Oregon and France and today we make a return trip to the land down under to check out a silky smooth Cabernet from the Margaret River region in southwestern Australia.

The 2012 Ringbolt Margaret River Cabernet Sauvignon begins with an enticing aroma of minty plum, blackberry and blackcurrant with some nice floral notes. The wine tastes really delicious with lots of rich blackberry peppered with wonderful spice notes and features a silky smooth mouthfeel. Medium to full-bodied, this wine is fabulous all on its own or pair it with a nice juicy steak. It ends dry and very long with lingering minty notes and hints of dark chocolate under the fruit. Excellent stuff!
