A satisfying Portuguese red blend with a real cork label, the Adega de Borba Reserva Red.
A blend of 30% Trincadeira, 30% Alicante Bouschet, 20% Aragonez (Tempranillo) and 20% Castelao from Alentejo, Portugal. The wine was aged for 12 months in 3rd and 4th year French oak barrels plus another 6 months in bottle before release.
Sample submitted for review. The wine has an SRP of $18 and is available for as low as $16. It is imported by L&B Beverage.
Adega de Borba Reserva produced from the main varieties of the region. The wine has a rich aroma of red fruits and toasted nuts, with a predominance of fruit and spices, leaving a persistent flavour that lingers in the mouth.
This is a natural cork label crafted from the bark of live cork oak trees.

The 2015 Adega de Borba Reserva Red opens with an attractive aroma full of dark, almost raisiny fruit with nice touches of spice.
The dark, raisiny fruit continues when tasting this flavorful and easy to drink red blend. It features deep flavors, some soft, slightly dusty tannins and nice touches of spice throughout and ends with a dry, long and lingering finish.
