The Broadside Margarita Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon is the result of our faithful effort to capture a pure and unadulterated representation of grape and site. With 1000 feet of elevation and a chilling coastal influence, the well-drained soils of Margarita Vineyard provide a balance of stress and sustenance to the rugged vines.
Their fruit is marked by small berries, concentrated flavors, and fine tannins. While robustly fruited in its youth, Broadside Cabernet Sauvignon is also graced with an underlying framework of subtle tannin and acidity that ensures a bright future in the cellar as well.
14.0% Alcohol
The 2014 Broadside Margarita Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon begins with a very pleasant aroma of blackberries, lots of mint, spice, cedar and a bit of a brambly note. Taking a sip reveals tons of juicy, fleshy fruit with well-integrated spice and wonderful balance. Medium to full-bodied and with firm tannins, more cedar and bramble woodsy notes come out mid-palate along with a bit minerality. Both last into the dry, long, mouthwatering finish.
