The 2015 Cecchi Chianti Classico Riserva di Famiglia opens with a very aromatic bouquet of red and black cherry, cedar, spice and some pleasing herbal notes. The wine tastes smooth, juicy, tart and delicious! Balanced and complex, in the mouth you find lots and red and dark berry fruit plus leather, licorice and black tea. Firm tannins lead into the long, dry, slightly grippy finish.
This just what a good Chianti Classico Riserva should be and well worth the extra dollars above our normal limit!
