The Gratsi Old Country Red Box Wine opens with pleasing aromas of black cherry and other dark berries, licorice and touches of spice.
What's this, a dry wine in a box? (And from the Wahluke Slope no less.) I love it. Soft, smooth and fruity with nice touches of spice this is very drinkable blend, which is just what you want for a box wine.
It ends dry with lingering sweet tasting fruit in this very dry wine and just a touch of tobacco and smokiness underneath. It's a good thing this comes in a box because this is crowd pleasing stuff.
