Deep, vivid and intense color. Floral aromas. Very lively in the mouth, matured but fresh. Delicious, melting and fruity and a bit mineral. It has a dense evolution. Malolactic fermentation in oak with 7 months aging.
15% Alcohol
The 2016 Bodega Inurrieta Mimao Garnacha begins with a pleasing but bit subdued aroma of blackberry, a little vanilla, a little spice and a hint of a graphite note. Tasting the wine reveals lots of deep, dark fruit with nice touches of spice and great depth of flavor. This is a smooth and juicy wine with lots of tart berry fruit and soft, round tannins. A streak of minerality comes out mid-palate and leads into the dry, medium long finish.
Yummy stuff and it actually paired surprisingly well with the homemade chocolate chip cookies my daughter happened to make the night we were tasting this.
