This shiny yellow wine offers richness with acacia, pear and almond aromas. Best enjoyed with cheeses, spicy dishes or Indian food.
12.5% Alcohol
The 2018 Vignobles Lacheteau Vouvray begins with aromas of pear, apple, lemon, a little pineapple and a touch of almond. It's quite nice and even smells a bit sweet. The wine does indeed taste sweet (and tart) and features a lively mouthfeel. It has similar flavors to the nose with the pineapple and apple predominating in the mouth. It may be simple but it's quite satisfying!
It ends with very long lasting baked apple notes and lip-smacking sweetness. I have to agree with the back label that this would pair quite well with spicy food. This is a nice pick for just $8.
