The 2021 Kono Sauvignon Blanc opens with tons of grassy aromas on the nose plus some lemon and herbal notes and a little tropical fruit. It's an inviting start.
Taking a sip reveals similar flavors with lots of rich, juicy fruit. It almost tastes a bit sweet but it's not, it's just fruity. It's got plenty of fresh acidity as well.
It ends with a dry, long, lip-smacking, finish. This is a pretty solid Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc for those that like it grassy.
