40% Tempranillo, 25% Garnacha, 25% Syrah and 10% Cabernet Sauvignon from Carinena, Spain. The wine does not spend any time in oak and is vegan-friendly.
Oxte The Silence Red Blend is a Trader Joe’s exclusive in the USA and comes from Axial Vinos, the producer of La Granja wines and Javier San Pedro also at Trader Joe’s. It retails for just $5.99 and is imported by Evaki, Inc.

The 2019 Oxte The Silence Red Blend begins with lots of succulent berry notes along with a touch of white pepper and earth.
The wine tastes smooth, nicely balanced and flavorful with similar notes to the nose plus cola and licorice in the mouth as well. With soft tannins this is quite easy to drink and could easily pass for a more expensive bottle.
It ends dry, tart and a bit astringent but with good length. This quite a tasty blend and a great buy at this price, with some bonus good advice on the back label.
