The Sisters Ridge North Canterbury Pinot Noir is 100% Pinot Noir from estate vineyards in North Canterbury, New Zealand. The wine was aged 10 months in French oak barrels, 15% of which were new. It has less than 1 g/L of residual sugar and only 1,288 cases were produced.

Sisters Ridge wines from North Canterbury are vibrant and generous like the people they are made for. This balanced Pinot Noir offers delicious red cherry flavors and a delightful combination of both savory and spicy aromas.

The 2017 Sisters Ridge Pinot Noir begins with a pleasing aroma of cherry, strawberry, licorice, a touch of herbs and a bit of earthiness. The light to medium bodied wine tastes fresh and quite quaffable with a smooth and soft mouthfeel plus similar flavors to the nose that present juicy and tart in the mouth. It ends dry with a nice burst of spice on the medium-long finish.
This is a very solid example of the value to be found in New Zealand Pinot Noir. At this price there's no reason not to stock up!
