Last Updated on May 23, 2021

A fresh, simple and tasty wine from Trader Joe’s, The Pass Sauvignon Blanc.

The Pass Sauvignon Blanc – Simply Tasty

Sauvignon Blanc from Marlborough, New Zealand. The wine is fermented and aged in stainless steel.

The Pass Sauvignon Blanc is available exclusively at Trader Joe’s (in the USA) for just $8.99. This wine is produced by Foley Wines who also produce the Vavasour brand. It is imported by D’Aquino.

From the bottle:

Between the two winegrowing regions of Marlborough, New Zealand is The Pass. We have carefully selected fruit from both valleys to showcase the best flavour characteristics of the region. Our Sauvignon Blanc is bright and crisp with grassy and tropical fruit notes.

12.5% Alcohol

The 2019 The Pass Sauvignon Blanc begins with quite a pleasing, classic New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc aroma full of grapefruit and lemongrass along with a little green apple, lime and peach.

Taking a sip reveals a fresh, simple and tasty Sauvignon Blanc full of vibrant acidity. It features similar flavors to the nose with a touch of sweetness to round things out. This is quite easy to drink.

It ends with a dry, tart, lip-smacking finish of good length.
