INSIDER DEAL! Willamette Valley Vineyards Ingram Estate Pinot Noir

Who doesn't like saving big bucks on pricey Pinot??

As we often say, if there's one variety that justifies splurging, it's Pinot Noir. And while we've offered a few of these in the past from different producers, today we bring back one of our favorite wineries of all time, Willamette Valley Vineyards.

The Willamette Valley Vineyards Ingram Estate Pinot Noir comes from the Dijon 115, 777, Pommard and Wadenswill clones on the Ingram Estate in Eola-Amity Hills of the Willamette Valley, Oregon.

This one spends quite a bit longer in French oak than the Founder's Reserve we previously offered (14 months for this wine vs only 9 for the Founder's Reserve) with 15% of those barrels being new.

And talk about small production, only 13 barrels of the 2017 Willamette Valley Vineyards Ingram Estate Pinot Noir were produced!

This wine has an SRP of $40 and is typically only sold through the winery (at the SRP).

Through today's Insider Deal you can get 3 bottles of the 2017 Willamette Valley Vineyards Ingram Estate Pinot Noir for just $74.99 plus $5 for shipping.

That's a savings of $15 a bottle (37.5%) on the wine. Factor in the additional savings from our $5 shipping and your total savings go up to 42%.

This 3-pack deal is available to ship to the following states: AZ, CA, CO, CT, DC, FL, GA, IA, ID, IL, KS, LA, MA, ME, MI, MN, MO, MT, NC, ND, NE, NM, NV, NY, OH, OR, PA, SC, SD, TN, TX, VA, VT, WA, WI and WY. (These states are dependent on the individual licenses of the offering winery. Future deals may have more or less states available.)

This is a limited time, winery direct offer facilitated by our friends at Wine Country Connect. Sale ends Tuesday 5/25 at noon (PT) unless it sells out sooner. Shipping is a flat $5 per order no matter how many 3-packs you buy.

Clicking on the buy button above will take you to the site winedealmaker.com for checkout. If you don't see the embedded buy box click here to order. Once there you can also adjust the quantity of 3-packs in your order by using the "Click To Update Cart" link at the top of the screen.

2017 Willamette Valley Vineyards Ingram Estate Pinot Noir

    From the winery:

The stylistic vision is pure Pinot Noir fruit with a soft, juicy mouthfeel, balanced oak and soft, sweet, ripe tannins. The methodology includes attention to detail from vineyard to bottle. Picked at peak ripeness, the fruit was gently destemmed, with approximately 70% of the berries remaining intact for intraberry fermentation, which adds lively fruit-forward characteristics. Prior to fermentation, the must underwent a five day pre-fermentation cold soak providing improved complexity, color and mouthfeel. On the fifth day, the must was inoculated with selected commercial yeast. After 8-12 days of fermentation in small fermenters, punched down by hand, the must was pressed out and allowed to settle in the tank overnight. The new wine was barreled with light, fluffy lees where it underwent malolactic fermentation.

2017 Willamette Valley Vineyards Ingram Estate Pinot Noir Back Label

The 2017 Willamette Valley Vineyards Ingram Estate Pinot Noir begins with a very pleasing and harmonious aroma of black cherry, a little spice, a touch of cranberry and some earthy notes.

Tasting reveals a smooth, delicious and elegant Pinot with lovely and well integrated spice and licorice notes. Medium-bodied and with good acidity, this is not a hit you over the head with flavor wine, but an elegant, balanced example of Pinot Noir. And it keeps on improving the more air it has.

Still tasting a bit young at this point, this wine has plenty of life left ahead of it. It ends dry, quite long and satisfying!
