Welcome to the weekly wrap-up!
We’ve got a bit of an abbreviated wrap-up today since we’ve been out of town this week so let’s get right to it. My gift idea this week is the one thing everyone can use — wine! And specifically, yesterday’s Saturday Splurge on the Bonny Doon Vineyard Le Cigare Volant Reseve 2008 – Guaranteed To Make Someone’s Christmas Merry. Want something a little less expensive? Check out our latest Top 10 Red Wines Under $20.
And now on to our weekly recap. On Monday we featured the Segura Viudas Reserva Heredad Cava – A Holiday Sparkler Sure To Impress. This wine is much more than a fancy bottle.
Tuesday brought the Kanonkop Kadette 2010 – An Excellent Cuvée From The Cape. Your marching orders: Drink this wine!
Wednesday we had a special guest post: Wining and Dining – The Sediment Wine And Dinner-Party Survival Guide.
Thursday we went back to our Holiday Sparklers series with the Freixenet Elyssia Gran Cuvee Brut – Champagne By Another Name. Don’t tell the French but there’s plenty of good sparkling wine not called Champagne — and it’s much cheaper too. Zut alors!
Friday we featured a wine from one of our favorite value regions in the world — Calatayud, Spain. The Show Garnacha 2010 – No Circus Clowns Needed. One smooth ride!
And finally on Saturday we featured a special Christmas time splurge, the Bonny Doon Vineyard Le Cigare Volant Reseve 2008 – Guaranteed To Make Someone’s Christmas Merry.Made by a (benevolent) mad scientist.
