The 2022 Bianchi Malbec opens with a pleasing aroma of ripe dark fruit (plum and blackberry), black pepper and almost a touch of a meaty note. It’s a nice start.
Taking a sip reveals a smooth, medium-bodied wine that is ripe and dark in the mouth while also having similar flavors to the nose. It also has good acidity.
It ends dry, soft and long and was even slightly better on day 2. This is a solid example of Malbec that is priced right and should be available widely.
