I'm not sure why but roses and moms just seem to go together. And why not? Roses not only look nice but they smell nice too. Of course with a flower that's about all you get. However, if you really want to make Mom happy this year why not give her a different kind of rose -- a rosé! And today we've got the perfect one to help Mom celebrate her big day. (And if you're really lucky maybe she'll even share the bottle with you.)
The 2015 Boschendal The Rose Garden Rosé begins with a fresh, pleasant aroma of strawberries, cherry blossoms and a hint of tomato plant. The medium-bodied wine tastes juicy and delicious and is layered with flavors of strawberry, raspberry, watermelon, a little mulberry and spice. With good acidity and just about the perfect level of sweetness this wine will have lots of food pairing possibilities. A hint of saltiness mixes perfectly with the juicy, tart fruit notes on the long, satisfying finish.
