For three generations the women of the Brangero family have made Moscato in the small town of Castiglione Tinella of southern Piedmont, Italy, where they are fondly referred to as "the ladies of Moscato". The grapes for their fresh, delicately sweet and slightly sparkling Moscato come from outside the town of Pavia - a city known for its rich history of Renaissance history and art.
The tiles shown on the label pay homage to tile design from the famous palaces and buildings that flourished during this period. Pavia is also famous for its 100 towers, or cento torri, from which Centorri takes its name.

The 2020 Centorri Moscato di Pavia begins with pleasing, fruity aroma full of peach, orange zest, lemon and more. It even smells sweet!
Taking a sip reveals an incredibly sweet but delicious wine featuring similar flavors to the nose with sweet peach, orange, lemon and lime. It's a bit like drinking liquid candy really although it's slightly frizzante nature helps to balance out some of the sugar.
It ends with a sweet, honeyed finish of lasting fruit. This one goes on the buy list. Pair it with spicy foods, desserts or just as an aperitif.
