Cellared & Bottled by Chateau Ste. Michelle
The 2017 Chateau Ste Michelle Indian Wells Merlot is loaded with plenty of really nice oak influence on the nose along with some nice dark fruit. Oak lovers this is your wine!
It is much as you would expect when tasting with plenty of continuing oak influence in the form of vanilla, chocolate, spice and more. There is also, of course, plenty of smooth and savory dark fruit. This one drinks more like a Cab but with that distinctive round Merlot mouthfeel.
It ends with more oaky spice (are you sensing a theme yet) on the long, dry, grippy and tannic finish. Yum! Quite easy to drink, this wine offers great quality for the price.
