The 2018 Donnafugata Sul Volcano Etna Bianco opens with quite an attractive and intriguing aroma of apple, tropical fruit notes, some savory herbal notes and a bit of wet stone minerality.
Taking a sip reveals lovely layers of flavors! There's good concentration on the really tasty lemon, melon and tangy tropical fruit and the wine has mineral notes throughout. Crisp with good acidity and smooth with a slightly oily mouthfeel, this is both quite easy to drink and quite complex.
It ends crisp, dry and quite long. Lovely!
