Well-structured with ample richness and depth accented with aromas of toasted oak and tobacco. Flavors of cherry and plum coalesce with hints of baking spices for a long, satisfying finish. The smooth, integrated tannins pair well with rich cuts of beef or wild game.

It's been six vintages since we last checked out this wine, which is a shame because it used to be one of our favorites. That said, we were delighted to find that it is just as good as ever!
The 2018 g3 Cabernet Sauvignon begins with a wonderful aroma full of black cherry, caramel, vanilla, blackberry, plum, lots of baking spice, coffee, chocolate and more.
Taking a sip reveals a seriously delicious wine where everything just comes together. All those flavors from the nose continue in the mouth along with some added licorice, cola and leather and a smooth, lush mouthfeel. With good balance and tons of rich flavor, this wine is simply a pleasure to drink. It ends dry with good length and a burst of spicy mineral notes on the finish.
I will say that this does need some time to open up, as it is a bit oaky when first opened but it's still quite young at this stage. Once it has some time to breathe it's hard to believe it can be had for this low of a price.
