The 2017 Wise Villa Winery Midnight Delight is a blend of 50% Muscat and 50% Chardonnay from vineyards in Clarksburg, California. The wine does not spend any time in oak. 2,000 cases were produced and the wine has 7.8 g/L of residual sugar.

It only takes on whiff of the 2017 Wise Villa Winery Midnight Delight to know you're in for sweet stuff, in fact at first sniff I would have sworn this was a dessert wine. The enticing aroma is loaded with honey and tropical fruit plus some pear notes.
Taking a sip reveals similar flavors to the nose with good acidity and a smooth mouthfeel. This is quite refreshing and highly quaffable! This is a great combination of grapes that tastes much sweeter than it is with the Muscat bringing the honey and tropical fruit and the Chardonnay adding the pear and a nice, round, smooth body.
It ends with a long, lip-smacking finish of sweet tropical fruit. Delish! Sweeter wines aren't always our favorite but this is excellent.
