The 2015 Herdade de Sao Miguel Alicante Bouschet begins with a wonderful aroma of fresh black cherry, blackberry, plum and lots of well-integrated spice along with touches of vanilla. Taking a sip reveals a super tart, juicy and tasty wine with similar flavors to the nose. You'll also find an excellent earthy streak under the fruit. With good structure and good acidity this is a really delicious wine. Black pepper and balsamic notes lead into the dry, long finish.
