A delightful Trader Joe's Bulk Buy that is perfect for summer, we review that latest vintage of the Ile de Conas Le Rosé.
A blend of 25% Grenache Gris, 25% Grenache Noir, 20% Caladoc, 15% Pinot Gris and 15% Cinsault from the south of France. Each varietal was vinified separately and then aged for a short period of time in cement tanks. The wine has just 2 g/L of residual sugar.
Just like the Ile De Conas Rouge Souplesse, this one is also made by the Paul Mas family.
Sample submitted for review. The Ile de Conas Le Rosé is available exclusively at Trader Joe's and sells for just $7.99. It is imported by Plume Ridge.
This unique Mediterranean blend is succulent with a delicate, tongue-tingly zest. Bursting with flavors, this Rose can be served as a pre-dinner drink or paired with salmon teriyaki, zucchini, carpaccio or Mediterranean salad.
Bottled by Jean-Claude Mas
12.5% Alcohol
The 2021 Ile de Conas Le Rosé opens with aromas of red cherries and berries on the nose along with some floral notes, a hint of spice and a touch of a tropical fruit note.
Taking a sip reveals a crisp, tangy, delightful rosé. Balanced and full of flavor, this is super easy to drink. Serve it up on a hot day and it'll be gone in no time. Featuring similar flavors to the nose with a little watermelon in the mouth as well, some salty minerality leads into the dry, crisp, medium length finish.
We were a bit wary when the first vintage of this wine came out that it was all show with the fancy bottle and the glass stopper but what's inside backs it up! This is delicious and we would expect nothing less from Paul Mas.
