A white wine blend of 60% Sauvignon Blanc and 40% Semillon from Bordeaux, France.
Red wines get all the attention in Bordeaux, but there are also some very nice white wines being made. The blend used here is very typical for the region with the Semillon adding some body and texture to the high acidity of the Sauvignon Blanc.
The newly released Kirkland Signature Bordeaux Blanc is available exclusively at Costco and is priced at just $6.99. It is imported by Misa Imports and made Chateau Petit-Freylon.
That is the same producer as the excellent Kirkland Signature Bordeaux Superieur Red, which we are very happy about since the red is consistently one of the best Kirkland Signature wines offered. Let’s check out this Bordeaux Blanc.

2024 Kirkland Signature Bordeaux Blanc
A carefully selected blend of 60% Sauvignon Blanc and 40% Semillon, this Kirkland Signature Bordeaux Blanc has pleasant aromas and a complex nose. The woody notes blend with white-fleshed fruits, such as pear and peach, and citrus fruits. The palate is velvety and smooth, combining notes of toasted brioche, honey, lemon and hazelnuts.

The 2024 Kirkland Signature Bordeaux Blanc opens with a pleasing aroma of lemongrass, honeysuckle and citrus. It’s a nice, inviting start.
Taking a sip reveals a very easy to drink and refreshing wine with a rich and smooth mouthfeel, good acidity and decent depth on the tangy fruit, which is similar to the nose. This is a porch pounder/pool party type of wine.
It ends crisp, soft and dry with good length and a little bit of lip-smackingness. This is another great entry to the Kirkland Signature line.
