A solid little GSM blend, we review the Laurent Dublanc Tradition et Terroir Cotes du Rhone from Trader Joe's.
While the label doesn't specify, the wine is a blend of predominantly Grenache, Syrah and Mourvedre (aka GSM) from the Rhone Valley of France.
The Laurent Dublanc Cotes du Rhone is available exclusively at Trader Joe's and sells for just $6.99. It is imported by Advantage International.
The Rhone Valley is assumed to be France's oldest wine-growing region. Legend has it that along their long path of spiritual reflection, Popes enjoyed a Cotes-du-Rhone famous for expressing the richness and excellence of the local land to perfection. Laurent Dublanc Cotes-du-Rhone presents a deep ruby outlined with a dark purple tinge color. The nose is intense, fine and fruity aromas, with a spicy base.

The 2020 Laurent Dublanc Tradition et Terroir Cotes du Rhone opens with a nice enough aroma of black cherry, raspberry, a bit of a floral note and a touch of spice.
The wine tastes a bit simple, but it drinks quite nicely and easily after it has a little air. It features some wel integrated spice notes to go along with the fruit, which is similar to the nose.
It ends dry and rather long. This is a solid little GSM blend at this low price and the type of inexpensive wine that Trader Joe's excels at sourcing.
