The rich soil diversity of the famous Sancerre terroir - stony limestone hills and clay limestone stones - produces this complex and well balanced wine. It possesses intense fruity and mineral aromas and crisp, vibrant citrusy flavors. Best served at 45-55F with fish, sea-food and goat cheese.

The 2018 Cave des Vins Les Fontenelles Sancerre Blanc begins with quite a pleasing aroma of lemon, citrus and a touch of tropical fruit along with a bit of a grassy and mineral note.
Taking a sip reveals a fresh, tasty and balanced wine with nice depth of flavor on the fruit and, just as you would expect, good crisp acidity. With similar flavors to the nose this medium-bodied Sauvignon Blanc is quite easy to drink.
It ends dry, crisp and quite long with the flavors lingering on the lips for a good while.
We found this to be an even better value (same Taste rating with a lower price) than the Costco Kirkland Signature version which we will be reviewing soon.
