The highly recommended Il Casato Pinot Grigio from Cantine Di Ora and available at some Costco locations for just $6.
100% Pinot Grigio from Valdadige, Veneto, Italy. The wine is fermented in stainless steel and has 3.5 g/L of residual sugar.
The Il Casato Pinot Grigio has an SRP of $12 but we grabbed it at Costco for just $5.97. It is imported by Tri-Vin Imports Inc.
Straw yellow in color, the wine is characterized by an intense and persistent fruity and floral scent, with hints of apple, litchi and hay notes. On the palate it is dry, of great character and elegant, and has a good balance between body and acidity.
13% Alcohol
The 2019 Il Casato Pinot Grigio opens with an attractive aroma of apple, pear and tropical fruits with a touch of honeysuckle.
Taking a sip reveals that this is a pretty nice Pinot Grigio. Plenty flavorful and with nice crispness this is quite refreshing. It also features some good juicy tart fruit similar to the nose along with some added citrus notes.
It ends dry, crisp and with decent length. This is definitely a nice find for under $6.
