With its elegant red hue and powerful palate this 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon delivers an exceptional bouquet of blackberries, autumnal leaves and baking spices followed by opulent flavors of clove and marzipan. Serve with stuffed poblano peppers, roasted beet salad or tortilla soup with pressed Cuban sandwiches. Decant 15 to 30 minutes.

The 2017 Liberté Cabernet Sauvignon begins with a pleasant aroma of black cherry, spice, cola and leather. The medium-bodied wine tastes a bit on the sweet side and I’m guessing it has some other varieties besides Cab blended in as well, but overall it works well. It features similar flavors to the nose with lots of cola and an easy, smooth and soft mouthfeel. Long lasting spice leads into the dry, medium-long finish. There’s absolutely nothing wrong with this one at a price of just $10.
