From the bottle:
HARVEST: Selection of old vines with limited production, situated in four different zones of La Rioja region, in accordance with the Quatro Pagos philosophy.
Quatro Pagos is an elegant, complex, well-structured Signature Wine of great note, with 16 months of aging in new, French oak barrels. From the first moment in the mouth it surprised the consumer with its body and wealth of subtle nuances. This wine in particular condenses all the qualities of the “Quatro Pagos” philosophy. “Quatro Pagos” literally means “Four Estates”, wine is elaborated from four distinct vineyards in La Rioja, each having different soil and climate characteristics that give this wine a unique flavor.

The 2007 Maetierra Dominum QP Quatro Pagos Reserva Rioja begins with a very pleasant aroma of black cherry and other sweet dark fruit, baking spice and a hint of balsamic. Tasting the wine reveals a more fruit forward style than you might expect in a Rioja Reserva but it’s extremely tasty. Soft but solid in the mouth with great density and balance, this medium to full-bodied wine tastes much like the nose suggests with more dark fruit, baking spice and balsamic. It ends with a dry, spicy, peppery finish full of dark fruit, chocolate and more hints of balsamic. Quadruply good stuff!
