Today we've got our latest box wine find from the same producer as our highest rated box ever, Maison Cubi. This time; however, we go to a style of wine you don't always see in this format, a dry rosé. Does it work? Absolutely.
The 2014 Maison Cubi Rosé begins with a light, delicate aroma of peach, strawberries and some nice floral notes. The wine tastes of juicy tart berry fruit and is super refreshing with a lively mouthfeel, lovely mineral notes and good acidity. Rosé is actually a great option for box wine as it is intended to be drunk young anyway and many people don't realize just how food friendly this style of wine is. It ends with good length and a spicy mineral filled finish. A great example of a very versatile dry rosé.
