The 2021 Marcello Pelleriti Signature Malbec pours dark and inky in the glass and you are immediately hit with aromas of dark berry fruit, lots of herbal notes, some floral notes and a little cocoa. It’s a nice start.
Tasting the wine reveals it to be smooth, lush and tannic with similar flavors to nose. Full of very dark and sour juicy fruit, the wine has good depth and plenty of acidity although it tastes a bit young and off balance on day 1.
It ends dry, very long and grippy and was slightly better on day 2.
