The 2017 Mazzei Tenuta Belguardo welcomes with lots of luscious dark fruit and well-integrated spice on the nose along with wonderful touches of vanilla and chocolate. It’s a strong, intoxicating aroma that immediately lets you know you chose this wine wisely.
Taking a sip reveals a wonderfully tasty, full-bodied wine with great structure, depth and balance. Smooth and round, it features similar flavors to the nose with juicy fruit in the mouth.
It ends dry, very long and a bit chewy. Delicious now, it also shows lots of aging potential. It was perhaps even a bit better on day 2.
