The 2015 Mercer Horse Heaven Hills Malbec opens with a very pleasing and strong aroma of blackberry, plum, vanilla and spice. Tasting reveals a full-bodied wine that is loaded with licorice, dark fruit and plenty of vanilla. It's really more of a blend than a single varietal Malbec with 22% Cabernet Sauvignon but either way there is a lot to love here! Coffee and cocoa notes lead into the dry, long, plush finish which also features some chewy tannins. Quite a tasty wine!
