It is made by DNA Vineyards, who have produced quite a few of the Trader Joe’s private label wines over the years. Most recently those include the excellent Trader Joe’s Reserve Walla Walla Valley Syrah Lot #268 and the Trader Joe’s Platinum Reserve Oakville Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon Lot 113.

2022 Napa Estates Cabernet Sauvignon
The relationships we’ve forged with our prestigious winery partners have resulted in some spectacular values on our shelves, including this 100% Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon. While we can’t name the winery (that’s part of the deal, you see), we can say that this 2022 vintage received a resounding “Yay!” from our wine tasting panel. It boasts notes of black cherry and cocoa, with elegant tannins and subtle oak, all of which culminate in a balanced, polished expression of the varietal. Velvety and rich, this Napa Estates Cab is tailor-made for pairing with hearty meals (think pastas with red sauce or Chuck Roast) and cheeses with plenty of personality.

The 2022 Napa Estates Cabernet Sauvignon opens with a pleasing aroma of black cherry, vanilla, and cedar. It’s classic Cab all the way and it’s a nice start.
Tasting the wine reveals it to be juicy with lots of dark berry fruit and other flavors similar to the nose. It features good balance and depth along with a smooth mouthfeel making it quite easy to drink. This is a nice Cab, especially for the low price.
It ends dry, long and juicy and was similar on day 2. Highly Recommended.
