This 100% Cinsault is 50% saignée (bleeding off juice from the red wine production) and 50% fruit picked specifically for rosé. The juice is fermented in stainless steel and 5% very neutral oak barrels. The wine is aged on the lees for 8 months and has basically zero residual sugar (<0.2 g/L).

Cinsault (San-Soh) is the Queen of Rosé varieties in Provence, producing elegant & sophisticated wines. The large berries in a Cinsault cluster give high juice yields with low color and phenolics. Onesta Rosé is made in a Provençal style, the Rosé is completely dry and elegant with rich texture.
Onesta Rosé is opulent and bursting with flavors of guava and melon, delivering a mouthwatering long finish. Made in a Provençal style, the Rosé is completely dry (no residual sugar) and elegant which makes it the perfect wine for relaxing with friends on a warm spring or summer day.
Vineyard Notes: Bechthold Vineyard, Lodi CA - The oldest vineyard in the Lodi region, 25 acres of Cinsault planted in 1886. This is the oldest Cinsault vineyard in the world! The old vines are head trained, organically grown and dry farmed. One side of the vineyard is bordered by a water canal, which the roots from the old vines have accessed over the years. The vines closest to the canal have a larger crop and are naturally lower in brix, so perfect for rosé production.

The 2021 Onesta Rosé of Cinsault begins with a full, very satisfying aroma of tropical fruit, citrus, and some salty minerality. It's a wonderful start.
The wine tastes balanced, rich, elegant and very satisfying. It features similar flavors to the nose including the salty mineral notes. It's quite multi-dimensional especially once it warms up a bit (right out of the fridge is too cold). It also possesses a wonderful texture and mouthfeel.
It ends dry, very long and juicy on the lip-smacking finish. Easy to drink but with a wonderful complexity and depth to it, this is fantastic!
