Rich, juicy and balanced Sonoma County Cab from Aldi, the Peaks & Tides Cabernet Sauvignon.
Cabernet Sauvignon from Sonoma County, California. The wine is aged for an unspecified amount of time in oak.
The Peaks & Tides Cabernet Sauvignon is available exclusively at Aldi and sells for $11.99.
Sonoma County is a geographic symphony of mountains, hills and coastline. This rich terrain allows the region's wine growers to produce wine with as much depth and complexity as the land it comes from.
Our dark and succulent Cabernet offers layers of flavors from deep blackberry, cherry and cassis to warm spice notes. With medium density, a balanced palate and a nice integration of oak, this wine captures the essence of Sonoma County.
This wine pairs well with grilled lamb chops and barbecued spareribs. This Cabernet Sauvignon is best enjoyed at about 60 degrees.

The 2019 Peaks & Tides Cabernet Sauvignon begins with a very enticing aroma of black cherry, blackberry, plum, spice, licorice and a little vanilla. This is certainly starting off well.
The wine tastes smooth with lots of rich, juicy dark fruit (perhaps just a tad sweet), well-integrated spice and lots of cola. With decent balance and touches of licorice, vanilla and oak, this is a classic Cab, done well.
Some oaky spice leads into the dry, long finish. It definitely needs some time to breathe to be at its best so plan accordingly.
This is the third vintage of this wine and while it won't blow your socks off, it does offer good value for the price.
