Some of our most popular deals of all time have been Pedroncelli Zinfandels. Today we have another Zin from the Bushnell Vineyard (purchased by John Sr in the 1940’s), but this time in Rosé form.
This is no fly by night, “take advantage of a popular trend” rosé either. Pedroncelli has been making this wine since 1954 and it’s been a perennial gold, double gold, best in class, best in show, etc. award winner ever since. 71 vintages later and I’d say they’ve just about perfected it.

2025 Pedroncelli Rosé
Bushnell Vineyard, Dry Creek ValleyTHE BACKGROUND: We have it down to art when it comes to making a Rosé. The base for this wine is Zinfandel, with over seventy vintages under our belt. This grape defines our Rosé with fresh fruit flavor and a quaffable charm. The crisp style, framed by berry and spice notes, sets it apart from all others. The grapes were harvested from the critically acclaimed Bushnell Vineyard, which has been a source to the winery since the 1940s. Located on a high bench, the vineyard’s well-drained rocky soil and climate create the perfect combination for high-quality Zinfandel fruit putting an indelible stamp on our single vineyard Rosé.
THE VINTAGE: A mild, balanced growing season produced high-quality fruit with excellent flavor, concentration and acidity. A wet winter with minimal frost was followed by a mild summer allowing for consistent and gradual ripening. The ideal weather conditions set the stage for an outstanding 2025 vintage. The grapes were harvested September 5.
WINEMAKER TASTING NOTES: A beautiful wine! The fresh aromas and flavors of rose petals, strawberries and watermelon are framed by a bright and refreshing acidity. It is nicely balanced with round and fresh fruit flavors accented by crisp and clean finish. Our Rosé is made to be enjoyed upon release.

And now on to our review:
The 2025 Pedroncelli Dry Creek Valley Rosé pours a bit lighter red than some previous vintages but luckily it’s not light on flavor! It opens with a fresh, inviting aroma full of watermelon and strawberry plus roses and other floral notes, touches of black cherry and tropical fruits. It’s a wonderful start.
Taking a sip reveals a smooth, vibrant mouthfeel plus plenty of acidity and similar flavors to nose. Crisp and balanced, this is quite refreshing. It’s dry, but full of flavor and also quaffable but still has some nice complexity to it. As always with Pedroncelli, it’s absolutely delicious.
It ends crisp and dry on the long, lip-smacking finish of lasting tart and juicy fruit. This is the definition of tasty!
