INSIDER DEAL! Peterson Winery Dry Creek Valley Sangiovese – So Good!

By: Jon Thorsen Last Updated: November 18, 2020

22 months in oak does a Sangiovese good! A lovely example of the variety from the Dry Creek Valley. Get 39% off the Peterson Winery Dry Creek Valley Sangiovese but only for next day.

INSIDER DEAL! Peterson Winery Dry Creek Valley Sangiovese – So Good

Today we’ve got another excellent pick from Peterson Winery. Only 250 cases were produced of this lovely wine.

Just like our very popular, previous Peterson deal, this wine is made in their zero manipulation style, meaning no additives are used and the wine is not fined or filtered (which also makes it vegan friendly). Even better, through today’s 1 day deal you can save $11 a bottle over the normal price of $28!

The Peterson Winery Dry Creek Valley Sangiovese is 100% Sangiovese, 70% of which came from the acclaimed Teldeschi Vineyard and 30% from the Spadoni Vineyard, both in Dry Creek Valley. The wine was aged in 5-12 year-old neutral oak barrels for 22 months.

Today’s Insider Deal gets you 4 bottles of this lovely Sangiovese for $67.99 plus only $5 shipping.

With an average price of $28 on wine-searcher, this keeps $59 in your pocket after factoring in the additional savings from our super low $5 shipping!

This 4-Pack deal ships to: AZ, CA, CO, DC, FL, GA, IA, ID, IL, IN, KS, LA, MA, ME, MN, MO, MT, NC, NE, NH, NJ, NM, NV, NY, OH, OR, PA, RI, SC, TX, VT, WA, WI, WV and WY. (These states are dependent on the individual licenses of the offering winery. Future deals may have more or less states available.)

This is a limited time, winery direct offer facilitated by our friends at Wine Country Connect. Sale ends Friday 11/20 at noon (PST) unless it sells out sooner. Shipping is a flat $5 per order no matter how many 4-packs you buy.

Clicking on the buy button above will take you to the site winedealmaker.com for checkout. If you don't see the embedded buy box click here to order. Once there you can also adjust the quantity of 4-packs in your order by using the "Click To Update Cart" link at the top of the screen.

INSIDER DEAL! Peterson Winery Dry Creek Valley Sangiovese – So Good

From the bottle:

Sangiovese is best known as the basis for the great wines of Tuscany. In California as in Italy, Sangiovese will only show what it is truly capable of in a very few and favored locations. This 100% Sangiovese wine comes from two vineyards in the Dry Creek Valley that are such sites, and was aged for 22 months in older, neutral 60 gallon barrels to allow the varietal flavors to shine.

Bottled unfined and unfiltered.
Fred Peterson, Winegrower. Jamie Peterson, Winemaker.

Produced & Bottled by Peterson Winery
15% Alcohol

The 2016 Peterson Winery Dry Creek Valley Sangiovese begins with a very pleasing aroma of leather, black cherry, spice and black pepper with a little earth and some savory hints of dried herbs. Yum!

The wine is just as nice in the mouth with all those same flavors combining wonderfully. Featuring juicy, almost sweet fruit, good acidity, good balance and good structure, this is a lovely example of Sangiovese from California.

Smooth with fine, round tannins yet still a bit rustic just like a good Sangiovese should be, it ends dry and long.
