The 2015 Quarisa Mrs. Q Cabernet Sauvignon begins with a pleasing but a bit subdued aroma when first popped and poured. It features ripe dark fruit and a little black pepper and cedar.
Taking a sip reveals lots of dark juicy and jammy fruit and a nice spicy, peppery streak that makes me think there might be some Shiraz in here as well. It's also smooth with good balance and structure. While it's certainly a solid Cab at this low price, it's nowhere near the 93 points displayed so prominently on the label.
It ends dry and with good length. It'd be hard to go wrong with this one at the Costco price of just $10.
