Quinta do Ataide is located in the Vilarca Valley, a remote north-eastern area of the Douro region. This fine Douro wine is produced from traditional grape varieties grown sustainably in the certified vineyards of Quinta do Ataide.
The 2015 Quinta do Ataide Douro Vinho Tinto opens with very attractive, deep and aromatic notes of blackberry, black cherry, plum, vanilla and spice. The wine tastes smooth and luscious in the mouth and features loads of deep, dark juicy fruit beautifully interlaced with spice, licorice and more vanilla. All the flavors from the palate last an extremely long time on the dry finish which also highlights touches of mocha. This is a beautiful wine!
