100% of this fruit is from Lodi's Certified Green, sustainably farmed Mohr-Fry Ranch Vineyards. The two separate lots of Petite Sirah and Sangiovese were barrel aged in a combination of French and American oak for 28 months prior to blending and bottling.
Ripe plums and black cherries with a touch of vanilla combine to create the complex aroma. The full bodied, brawny structure is accented by black fruit and black pepper flavors. Ripe tannins and excellent balance create a long finish and make this release ideal with grilled foods and game.

The 2019 Scotto Family Cellars Reserve Petite Sirah opens with a wonderful aroma of dark berry fruit and spice plus all kinds of secondary notes like cola, licorice, vanilla, a little earthiness, leather and much more. There is a lot to discover in this complex aroma so take your time and enjoy it.
Tasting reveals a big, rich and delicious Petite Sirah loaded with dark juicy fruit, lots of spice, black pepper and more. It's full-bodied with a smooth yet almost thick texture. Most of those wonderful secondary notes from the nose also make an appearance in the mouth as the wine has some time to breathe.
It ends dry, grippy, juicy and very long with lots of long lasting peppery spice and it was just as good on day 2.
