Intended to be sold at $42 a bottle, this limited production wine is 100% barrel fermented and undergoes malolactic fermentation. The result is a rich and creamy wine with just a bit of butter that still has lots of fruit. Wonderfully balanced and with no residual sugar, this is the real deal.

Tropical notes, with bright citrus acidity, dried pineapple, apples and soft oak nuances. 100% barrel fermented with 100% malolactic fermentation makes this wine a well-balanced Chardonnay that will develop with rich lushness over the coming year. This wine straddles the line between oaky and buttery Chardonnay, with a touch of minerality and a long finish. Limited production.

The Sonoma Highway Sonoma Coast Chardonnay spends 7 months in 50% new French oak. 1,100 cases were produced and the wine won Double Gold at the 2020 Sonoma County Harvest Fair.
The wine opens with pleasing aromas of bright citrus, cedar and just a touch of tropical fruit.
Taking a sip reveals a smooth and easy drinking Chardonnay with enough layers to keep it interesting. Featuring apple and tropical fruit flavors in the mouth, the wine is nicely balanced and quite pleasing. Since it is barrel fermented and undergoes malolactic, it gets bit of the creamy mouthfeel but it has just a touch of butter. We appreciated the restraint.
The wine ends dry, a touch creamy and quite long.
