Wow, it's been ten vintages since we last reviewed this wine! Let's see if it still offers the same value it once did.
The 2021 Tilia Malbec opens with a pleasing aroma of ripe plum, black cherry and some herbal notes.
Tasting the medium-bodied wine reveals it to be smooth and soft. It's not very complex and a bit sweet but also quite easy to drink. It features similar flavors to the nose with some added black pepper and other spice. This would make a nice, inexpensive burger wine.
It ends dry with decent length and is a bit grippy with some juicy fruit under the lingering oaky spice. It wasn't quite as good on day 2, so pop it open with a friend and finish off the bottle on day 1.
