Bulk Buy rated Paso Cab, we review the 2021 Trader Joe’s Platinum Reserve Paso Robles Cabernet Sauvignon Lot 112.
Cabernet Sauvignon from Paso Robles, California. No other info is available on the wine.
It is available exclusively at Trader Joe’s and like all of the Platinum Reserve level wines is priced at $14.99. We certainly love a good Paso Robles Cab so let’s check this one out.

The 2021 Trader Joe’s Platinum Reserve Paso Robles Cab opens with a pleasing aroma of dark fruit, a bit on the ripe side, plus baking spice, vanilla, a little cigar box, licorice and more. It’s a nice start.
Taking a sip reveals a smooth, well balanced, easy drinking Cabernet with similar flavors to the nose. It’s rather tannic at this young age but we enjoy that personally.
It ends dry, grippy and chewy on the long finish. It was just as good if not a little better on day 2. Quite good right now, I imagine it will even be a little better in another year or two.
