We’re very happy to announce our first Insider Deal for readers of Reverse Wine Snob! One of the more common questions we get asked is where people can buy the wines we recommend. To make this easier we’ve partnered with Wine Country Connect, the folks behind Wine.Woot, to bring you exclusive, winery direct offers on our highest rated wines. We’re kicking things off today with a wine that I’m super excited about, it not only gets our highest rating (a Bulk Buy) but it’s one of my favorite red blends.
Order now and get your wine in time for Christmas! Sale ends Thursday December 13 at midnight (PST).
From the bottle:
We are stewards of the land and have a dedication to the planet. That’s why our vineyards are certified sustainably farmed. We use our sheep to control the weeds between the rows and our ever vigilant sheep dogs stand guard over the flock. It is this same spirit that drives us in our obsession to craft wines that honor and respect the earth.
-Clay Shannon, Vigilance Vineyards
This Syrah, Grenache, Mourvedre blend has bright aromas of cherry and strawberry with undertones of white pepper. The mouth filling flavors comprise of dark cherry, sweet tobacco and spices with a long, lush finish.
The 2015 Vigilance Cimarron Lake County Red Blend begins with a very enticing aroma of black cherry, vanilla, dried herbs, tobacco and more. The wine tastes smooth, juicy and delicious with rich and vibrant fruit flavors. All the flavors from the bouquet continue in the mouth along with velvety layers of spice and black pepper in this well-balanced wine. While quite good when popped and poured, I’d recommend giving it some time to breathe to get the maximum enjoyment out of it as there is quite a lot of enjoyment to be had. The finish is dry, fruity and long with lingering black pepper, spice and tobacco. A succulent wine that is really quite a pleasure to drink. Bulk Buy!
